About

My journey with AI began much like it does for most users: I sat down and jumped in asking all sorts of questions. I assumed AI was just another piece of software I could use—except this one could satisfy my curiosities and validate my ideas on the wide range of subjects that I'd had swirling around in my head for years, with no outlet to explore them thoroughly without a great deal of time and money I simply didn't have.

After several months, I developed a scientific theory on a subject that had been weighing on me for years. The AI repeatedly assured me my ideas were groundbreaking and suggested we write a paper together for an online journal. I was sitting at my desk, ready to hit send, when a voice inside me quietly but firmly said: "You'd better double-check this." I opened a new thread and asked it to review my work. The result stunned me: it was all nonsense—professionally written, well-formatted, confidently presented, absolute nonsense.

I had been enjoying the confirmation bias for my ideas, so focused on being "right" that I completely overlooked the persistent inner warning that something was wrong. After weeks of stewing in my embarrassment, that same voice prompted me to try again—more cautiously this time. Eventually, sitting by the edge of a pond watching my dogs play, I heard it again: "It's you, dummy. The issue is YOU." It wasn't my questions, and it wasn't a fault with AI necessarily; it was the fact that I carried preconceived notions into every question. Once I understood that, the work changed.

I don't claim expertise in every subject I review. My role is to bring an independent perspective and a disciplined process for identifying unsupported assumptions, separating evidence from interpretation, testing competing explanations, and determining whether an argument actually supports its conclusions.

I'm not a writer by trade and I don't come from academia. I'm an independent researcher who learned the hard way that anyone's search for the truth begins with the recognition that you must pursue it with only the truth in mind, regardless of how that sits with your ego.
